You are stronger than you know.
Your mind tells you that you cannot take another hit, another onslaught of attacks, another fight against the enemy.
Your flesh tells you to give up and to join the many who have decided to not take their stand against this prowling lion.
But Jesus is calling.
He continues to call each of us to stand in the gap, like Moses for the Israelites, like Esther for her people, and to remain a watchman on His wall.
The mature in Christ understand the value of remaining in this fight. A fight for the souls of familiar faces, for family members lost, for the unreached but not forgotten.
We may be tempted to ask the Lord why me?
Why am I the one remaining on two feet with sword in hand?
Where are the others who promised to fight alongside of me?
You are not alone. The Lord stands around you and He will draw more courageous fighters to your side. For though it feels like you are alone, there are many that have chosen to remain faithful and obedient like you.
The Lord will provide for us like he did Jonathan for David, Aaron for Moses, and Elisha for Elijah. The enemy wants you to feel weak, defeated and alone. But Jesus promises us strength, victory, and to be with us as we go.
You are stronger than you know.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
